Nolan Center for Justice
The United States incarcerates more of its own people than any other industrialized nation. We lock up more people per capita than Russia, Iran, Cuba or China. ACU Foundation’s Nolan Center for Justice works to find the proper balance – one that ensures accountability for wrongdoing, while reducing excessive incarceration for non-violent offenders. Our efforts focus on criminal justice policies that strengthen public safety, ensure government accountability, support our law enforcement officers, and advance human dignity. In this endeavor, our work regularly takes us to the halls of Congress and to state capitals around the country.
